Laser radar spots quake changes

A laser-radar image of the site of a magnitude 7.2 earthquake that happened in Mecicali, Mexico in 2010 has been released by an international team of scientists. This new technique can spot minute surface changes down to centimetre level. On the above image, the blue represents a reduction in height after the quake and the red shows as increase.
